Sedona Arizona Wedding for Kristen and Zacharia

On Valentine’s Day, with a light dusting of snow on the beautiful red rocks high above Boynton Canyon, Kristen and Zacharia performed their nuptials tucked away at the Enchantment Resort. Nestled in the northern canyons of Sedona, with commanding views of Sedona and south, the Enchantment Resort is one of the most beautiful, peaceful and serene in the world. In fact it is consistently rated in the top 100 resorts in North America and an exceptional location for engagement and wedding photography, provided by LightRain Images, Chandler Arizona's premiere photography studio. After the beautiful wedding ceremony, the wedding party had cocktails; guests signed their signature board and toasted this young vibrant couple and their new life together. After relaxing in the lounge, the happy wedding party proceeded to the Cucina Rustica, one of Sedona’s finest Mediterranean restaurants for dinner, dancing and more celebrating. Thank you Kristen and Zacharia for allowing us to be a part of your wonderful wedding celebration and photograph you in such beautiful sorroundings! You couldn’t have chosen a more beautiful location or a better date. Best of luck and may you have many years of happiness!

Wedding Photography Questions Answered

Q. What religions or types of wedding ceremonies has LightRain Images provided wedding photography? A. LightRain Images has photographed just about every major religion and tradition including: Jewish, Catholic, Hindu, Sikh, Cambodian, Muslim, Protestant, nondenominational, LDS (Mormon), American Indian and lesbian. Through experience, we are familiar with most customs, traditions and religions; however, part of our wedding planning process is to learn about your family and your religious traditions and to make sure the things dear to you are highlighted in what we call Photobiography. We capture the essence of you celebrating what makes you and your families unique.

Q. At what wedding venues have your taken wedding photography? A. Since most of our weddings are in Arizona we have worked at most wedding venues including, Sassi, Desert Ridge Marriot, Orange Tree Golf Resort, Ashley Castle and Manor, Ocotillo Golf Resort, Wrigley Mansion, Villa Siena, Seville Golf and Country Club, Neilson Art Galleries, Tapatio Cliffs, Brophy Chapel, Phoenix Art Museum, Marriot at McDowell Mountain, Royal Palms Resort and Spa, Foothills Golf Resort, Phoenix Zoo, Club West Golf Club and many more. If we haven’t photographed a wedding at your chosen venue yet, we visit the location for an ocular inspection several days before the event. We visit at the same time of day to meet with the banquet manager and to review the lighting angles, flora and dramatic backgrounds. We can make any venue look great with the right angles our lighting gear and our techniques honed over the years.

Q. Can I get my wedding and engagement images on a photo CD? A. Yes, most our packages include your favorite images including unlimited copyright. In addition, we provide a digital image catalog of all your images (1,500-4,000 images) for future viewing and reference. Also, we archive everything on DVD and hard drives so that just in case your album is lost or destroyed in a fire, for example, we can republish it.

Q. How much does LightRain Images charge to for products and services? A. We have six packages that range from $895 to over $5,000. These packages include prints, albums and CDs. We make it easy and simple to add parent albums, purse books, album pages and our very popular DVD Dream Slide Shows, set to your own music. However, you can create your own package from scratch by purchasing our services ala Carte or modifying an existing package.

Q. Can I make my own wedding album? A. Absolutely. The album can be deducted from the packages or you can purchase the services you would like ala Carte. However, our graphic design team is outstanding and very skilled at telling the story of your wedding day in beautiful images – so make sure that you really want to do it yourself, because to make it look stunning takes lots of work even for our talented designers. Our graphic designers use artistic skill and judgement creating magazie style layouts with some images in Black&White, some in Sepia and other digital images in mixed Black&white and color. In addition many of the backgrounds are wedding details in low opacity, not simple drop ins.

Q. How important is the engagement photography session? A. We highly recommend the engagement session for several reasons. First, it captures a special time in your relationship where you are unmarried, yet very deeply in love and this chemistry shows through in the images. Second, because creating great photographic imagery is a collaborative process, it allows us to get to know you as an engaged couple. In a very relaxed setting, our couples become so comfortable that even the posed portraiture looks candid and natural. We show you numerous tips and techniques for posing and making the most fresh and fun imagery as well as sharing tips and insight into what we have seen work well at weddings and what doesn’t work (not just photography, but everything about the event) Also, it provides stunning imagery for invitations, table cards, the DVD Dream show or any other purpose before the wedding. Last, but not least, it is just a whole lot of fun and a great way to spend an hour or two with someone you love in beautiful settings.

Q. Can you explain what you mean by LightRain Images provides the best value in photography? A. Contrast our products, which are proudly shown over and over to friends and families and will be showcased for future children and grandchildren with some of the products we have seen and our brides friends have sadly described. Attempting to save a little on photography service is simply false economics and it is too late when the cheap pictures are collecting dust in a closet. You can’t go back to capture the fleeting moments and emotions that we capture in imagery for you to preserve forever.

Q. Do you retouch the digital photography images? A. Our goal is to make you look your best. We do this by digital retouching and enhancing all of your imagery using Photoshop and other high-end digital photography programs. Our skilled graphics team does this very subtly and accurately, brightening smiles, removing bloodshot eyes and softening wrinkles. We want you to look gorgeous and natural.

Q. Where is your studio located? A. We are located in DoCha Vida (Historic Downtown Chandler) at 11 W. Boston St. Ste 6. The building we are in is on the SW corner of Boston St. and Arizona Ave., and our entrance is on the sidewalk beside Arizona Avenue. We are about 1 mile north of the San Tan 202 Freeway. See the “Studio/Contact” button beside this for a Google map link.
