WEN at LightRain Images and Uptown Bridal

Wedding Event Network in Downtown Chandler

Curtis Whipple, owner of WEN, described the evening as follows: It was a great night down in Chandler last week. Thanks for coming to celebrate my 1-year anniversary of running The Wedding and Event Network. There were so many of you that I wanted to talk to, but time claimed his prize and the night was over too quickly. Thanks to Annie O for being a brilliant event planner. Our hosts, Glenn and Lilet Hamp at Light Rain Images and Diane Everson at Uptown Bridal were incredibly gracious to open up after hours for us.  Brad Taylor from Special Moments Catering-- WOW!  The sushi, the bananas foster... fabulous. Thank you to Elizabeth McKinnon and Co. from Sunland Strings for the music on the New York City side.  Peter Welter was hitting it hard and spinning the tunes on the L.A. side.  Erin Burkhard of Be In Love Designs made some custom signage for the event.  Harry and David's provided chocolate truffles.  Braidy Robbins of Sachi Salon provided live models, hair and makeup for the fashion show.

As usual, we couldn't have done it without Dave Forman from Pourmasters- the Washington Apples were a hit.  Tri-rentals is always quick to take care of our tables/chairs/linens needs.  Angie from The Wedding Chronicle- lovin' you, thanks for your help at the check in table each month.  We LOVE you guys!

There were about a dozen new attendees, each offering some cool products and services- forgive me for not addressing you each by name.  We hope you had fun and saw the value of networking in that setting and you'll consider joining us.

Business and Professional Women visit Photography Studio

Last Thursday evening, a group of professional business women from the South East Valley Business Professional Women’s organization (SEVBPW) headed over to LightRain Images studio in Historic Downtown Chandler to hold their monthly meeting.  Rose Pachura, president, coordinated the event with Glenn Hamp, co-owner of LightRain Images.  It was a fun and relaxing mixer and the LightRain Images studio was a cool place to take shelter from the 3 digit heat.  An appetizing mix of drinks and hors‘d oeuvres were provided by LightRain Images’ fantastic restaurant neighbors; Urban Tea Loft provided yummy scones and hot Amaretto Black Tea, Latitude 8 kept the spring rolls coming (their sauces are amazing!), Murphy’s Law provided sumptuous chicken wings, chips and dips and Kokopelli Winery served their delectable wines and champagnes including their famous Mimosa mix.    The women mixed as they sampled the cuisine and shared stories and business tips with existing and potential new members.  At the end of the evening, prizes were awarded to those present, including video presentations, consultations and a complimentary business executive headshot package from LightRain Images.  It was wonderful to meet all the professional ladies and we hope to do this again soon!  Thank you to all our generous neighbors who contributed to this event: Dave Fliger (Latitude 8), Glynis Legrand (Urban Tea Loft), Trisha Baldwin (Murphy’s Law and Dennis Minchella (Kokopelli Winery) you guys rock!
